ACC Club Volleyball Notches Second Place Finish
Alvin Community College’s Club Volleyball team finished in 2nd place during the Lone Star Sport Club Conference Tournament over the weekend.
ACC earned a spot in the Conference Tournament in the final week of the regular season, as they made the playoffs with the third seed. ACC finished with a record of 4-2 during the regular season.
ACC Club Volleyball defeated Lonestar College-Montgomery in the semifinal round, with a score of 25-23 in the first set, lost the second set 12-25, and then won the final set 15-9. ACC fell in the Championship Game losing the first two sets by a score of 25-23 and 25-21, giving Lonestar College-Cy Fair a championship.
ACC Club Volleyball members Darrah Rooth and Sarah Du earned All-Tournament honors for their play in the Semi-Final and Championship rounds.
ACC Club Volleyball has now made the conference tournament in both of their two seasons under Head Coach Alissa Rios.
